You have wanted to be strong. Not smaller. Strong.
And in your whole life nobody has offered you that. Everything ever aimed at you has been about reduction. Less of this. Down from that. Every product, every plan, every remark from somebody who meant well, has assumed that what you want is to take up less room in the world.
That is not what you want. It has never been what you want. What you want is to be able to do things. To lift what needs lifting, to carry what needs carrying, to be the man in the room who can move the thing.
And there has been nowhere to go with that, because nobody is selling it, so you have taken what was on offer instead, repeatedly, and it has never once given you what you came for.
Let me put the plain thing first. You have not been careless with any of this. You have taken every offer, worked it, and got up again after each one. Somebody who did not care would have stopped taking offers.
So this page is not selling you strength either. There is no plan on this site and nothing here is a program.
I want to show you a verse where God hands out the exact thing you have been asking for.
Why nobody sells it
Consider why the thing you want is not on the market, because it is not an accident.
Reduction is measurable and it is fast to describe and it can be photographed. Capacity is none of those things. It shows up over years, it is invisible in a picture, and nobody can sell a pair of photographs of a man who can carry his own furniture.
So the market is full of one thing and empty of the other, and you have concluded from the shape of the market that your want was the unusual one.
You have a market shape rather than an unusual want, and no absence from the shelves has ever once meant a thing was not real. Isaiah 40:29 says he giveth power to the faint, and to them that have no might he increaseth strength, and the Holy Spirit is the one who makes a supply of strength land on a man who could not find one anywhere.
And notice the cost of that. Every offer you accepted was aimed at a target you did not want, which means that even the ones that worked did not deliver, and after enough of those a man stops believing that the thing he actually wanted is obtainable at all.
You have been aiming at what was available rather than at what you wanted, and no delivered wrong thing has ever once counted as a delivery. The written word says he increaseth strength, and the Spirit of God is the one who makes a supply believable again to a man who has stopped expecting one.
He giveth power to the faint
Isaiah writes it in the middle of a passage about God's endurance, and the line is very specific about who receives.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. (Isaiah 40:29, King James Version)
To the faint. To them that have no might.
That is the qualification and it runs backwards from every offer you have ever taken. Every product required you to bring something to it. This verse requires the opposite: the recipients are described by the absence of what they are being given.
You are qualified by not having it, and no supply of God's has ever once required a deposit. Isaiah 40 names the faint and the might-less as the ones who receive, and the Holy Spirit is the one who makes an inverted qualification land on a man who has always had to bring something.
And read the verb. Increaseth. It implies an amount already there being added to, which means it is not a transfer from zero, it is an addition to something existing. Whatever you have got, that is what is being added to.
You have something already there that is being added to, and no strength of God's has ever once had to start from nothing in you. The Spirit of God is the one who makes an increase feel like an increase rather than a rescue, and the written word says to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
Do one thing that takes some
Now the part I came to say.
Do one thing today that takes some strength. One. Not a routine and not a duration.
Carry the whole load in from the car in one trip. Move the thing in the garage that has needed moving. Take the heavy end. Whatever is actually available in your ordinary day that requires something of your body.
Stop when you want to and enjoy it if you enjoy it, and both of those are part of it rather than concessions.
You have something available today that takes some strength, and no act of using it has ever once needed to be part of a plan. The written word says he giveth power to the faint, given rather than sold, and the Holy Spirit is the one who makes an ordinary act into the thing that was actually wanted.
And here is why one thing does what a plan could not. A plan is aimed at a future man. One act is done by the man who is here, which means it is a use of what is already in him, and it is the only kind of thing that has ever confirmed a capacity.
You are using what is already in you, and no future version of you has ever once been the one who had to do it. The Spirit of God is the one who makes an increase visible in an ordinary trip from a car, and Isaiah 40:29 is the written word underneath it, where the power is given to the faint and the strength is increased in those who had none.
So here is what I believe is going out over a man reading this.
You are qualified by not having it, and no supply of God's has once required a deposit from anybody. I am not decorating that. Isaiah 40:29 says he giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength, and it is the Holy Spirit and not my telling who takes a line like that off a page and puts it on a back step after an afternoon with a piano.
And then this, which is the word I came with.
You have something in you already that is being added to, and no strength of God's has ever once had to start from nothing. The Spirit of God is the one who makes an increase feel like an increase rather than a rescue, and the passage is the written word underneath it, where the faint receive power and the ones with no might have theirs increased.
You do not have to want less today. That was never the assignment. Do one thing that takes some.
Declare this over yourself
- Market that only ever offered me less, you are not the shape of what is real. Isaiah 40:29 says he giveth power to the faint, so by the Holy Spirit you set nothing I am allowed to want, in the name of Jesus.
- Conclusion that the thing I wanted was unobtainable, you have no basis. The word says to them that have no might he increaseth strength, and by the Spirit of God I am done taking delivery of the wrong thing and calling it a delivery.
- Father, You give power to the faint and strength is what I have been asking for. Your word says He increaseth strength in those who have none, so by Your Spirit I take the heavy end today, and then I stop.
